Louie's dad gets fired so the entire family tries to think of ways to save money until he can get back on his feet. Meanwhile, summer vacation has started and Louie is looking forward to three months of swimming and freedom...until his Dad, starved for things to keep himself busy, decides that Louie is going to help him do every fix-it job around the house.

Louie Anderson tells the story of a typical Christmas season when growing up in Cedar Knolls, Wisconsin during his childhood. Young Louie and his family go through the usual routine every family goes through during the season--with some hilarious results! Everything from buying a Christmas tree for the steep (at that time) price of $35, to putting up Christmas decorations for a lonely neighbor (who turns out to be Jewish), to actually opening presents on Christmas Day.

Louie makes a deal with his Dad to get out of his much-hated gym class if he agrees to play little league baseball. Much to Louie's dismay and bad luck, his baseball coach ends up being his tyranical gym teacher. After the coach is hit in the head by Louie's bat during a game Louie's dad Andy steps in as the coach and whips the team into shape in true military fashion--literally. While Andy is teaching the team battle strategies, Louie's mom teaches them actually baseball tips and tricks on the side. Of course in the end, Louie's team ends up in the big championship game and the team's newfound skills are put to the test.

When Ora and Andy leave to go and visit Ora's sick mother, Louie and Tommy are left home alone to fend for themselves during a blizzard.

When Louie's head swells up to gigantic red proportions, he knows there is something wrong, but does not want to face the awful possibility that he has allergies and must, therefore, get an allergy shot!

Louie, upset with being cast as the Turkey every year, single-handedly ruins the annual Cedar Knolls Elementary Thanksgiving Pageant. The principal decides that as punishment Louie needs to give a presentation on the meaning of Thanksgiving the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Louie tries to figure out the meaning of the holiday while his house is flooded with guests for Thanksgiving dinner, each of whom have their own unique interpretation of the holiday.

Louie is going to woods with father and his friends to catch deers.But one deer follows Louie and Louie makes a new friend,deer.When they go home late at night,deer follows them.Next day,they find out that deer is in their house.It is hrad for Andy,but he decides to keep deer.But,after deer finds out that he can't sleep anywhere he goes away...

The winter carnival begins in Cedar Knoll and The Anderson family loses every competition they enter. Meanwhile, Louie develops a crush on Jeannie's sister and tries to learn how to skate to get close to her.

The Anderson family goes to a fair where Aura tries to win the best cooking contest, and Andy wins a pig. Meanwhile, Tommy gets upset because Louie always takes him to the childish fair rides.

Dad loves his car like it's another member of the family, so when it stops running, Dad feels as though a family member is very, very sick.

Louie gets a summer job as a caddy to earn some extra cash and becomes the good luck charm and personal servant to Jojo Stomopolous, the resident Pinenut Country Club snob.

Earl Grunewald is promoted to be a main worker of the tractor factory. While the Grunewald family goes for a ski trip, Louie pretends to be a ski master, so the Anderson family also joins.

Louie's class must give a speech and if someone wins, the class will go to Washington. Louie buys a speech from Glen Glenn and he wins. Andy accompanies the trip because he was in a war with the president. After Andy tells Louie he must always tell the truth, Louie tells the truth about the speech.

When a new kid comes to town, Jeannie befriends him and Louie is reduced to second fiddle.

When Mom thinks she's pregnant, Louie becomes concerned that he'll be thrown out of the nest to make room for the new baby.

For his vacation science homework, Louie has to give a detailed report on honey bees. He ends up enlisting the help of his father on this project, but Andy ends up taking over the care and observation of the bees and develops a special kinship with the bees. Louie tries to figure out how he is going to give a presentation on the bees when he can't get anywhere near them with his father in the picture.

Little Louie's never met a job he didn't like, but he does (eventually) get his household tasks done. Yet, he may have taken on a task that's more than he can handle when he tries to help down-and-out friend of the family get back on his feet. It's a single act of kindness - but it's doubled his chores!

To avoid trying out for the school play, Louie claims membership in the Chess club. Obligated to attend a club meeting, Louie soon discovers he's a chess prodigy!

When the town loudmouth, Jen Glenn, gets a rare and acute form of laryngitis, everyone in Cedar Knoll is elated.

Louie meets famous comedian Kazoo.Kazoo came to town,to see his mother Ora.He wants Louie to come and watch his show with his mother.Well,Louie wants it,but his mother doesn't.After the show,Louie decides to become a comedian.So,he asks Kazoo to help him.Louie is very good,and he is even going to stand and laugh people on audition.But,when he finds out,that being comedain has some thing to do with insulting people.

For Louie's birthday, his grandma gives Louie a sweater which she made for him. While trying to write the thank you letter, Louie decides to instead play with his friends. When he finally writes the letter, he finds out his grandma has died.

A new movie theater opens and Louie goes all the time, so Andy and Aura become worried. They decide to give him a movie camera, and he decides to shoot a movie.

Louie suggests Grunewald run for class President, even though he has lost a record 5 times. Grunewald convinces a reluctant Louie to be his campaign manager.

It's Military Reunion,and teacher of history wants from kids to write their report about thair parents when they were in war.Louie is so happy,beacuse dad will be so proud of him when he tells him all the story about the war.When he tells him,Louie writes a lot of notebooks about Andy in war.When he reads it at school,everybody is impressed,but Melvin proves that's impossible.So,Louie actually finds out that that story isn't correct.For the finale,Military Reunion is opened,but the fire starts to burn on the ship,and Andy saves the ship.Other military men recognize him and Louie finds out the real story about his father.

Louie's teacher is sick,so new teacher arrives,Mrs.Robertson.She is very pretty and every boy falls in love with her.To get her for himself,Louie starts to read books like Romeo and Juliet.Now he knows everything about that and Mrs.Robertson starts to like him very much.But when Andy finds about that,he goes to the principal to tell her she must fire the new teacher.But he actually finds out that she also knows much about wars.So,he helps her.and she is now hired at the Military Academy.

The Anderson family decides to go to the Sniffer land.But it is very far.On their way,they were in danger,they had a lot of fun.They traveled by train,but it broke,then they travel by plane,by bus,by ballon...But the most exciting part was when Louie fell in the water and snake almost bite him!When they manage to Sniffer land,it was closed.But that doesn't matter,because Louie actually had the most exciting vacation of all kids in the town.

It's time for family picture,so Anderson family decides so.They will take a family picture,well,the only problem is: Louie and Tommy don't want to participate,they don't want to take family picture.

Louie wants to have a dog much to Andy's chagrin. Louie takes a dog that has been trained to be a guide for the blind.

Louie discovers a natural talent for basketball. His success is exceeded only by his embarrassment at having to appear in public without a shirt.

Ora gets very sick and no one can help her around the house because she always does the most hard jobs at home.So,Louie must help her around the house.But if he does that,he will have no time to get a present for his mother because it's Mother's day.
