We follow the “blood donation bus” as it travels across Hokkaido. There is a chronic shortage of blood donors. In fact, Hokkaido has the highest percentage of blood donors in the country. In this sparsely populated region, the bus plays a crucial role in collecting blood. A farmer who has donated blood nearly 100 times. A young man who believes that helping others brings good fortune. A salaryman who feels refreshed after donating blood. Over three days, we encounter “small acts of kindness” as we travel through the small towns of Hokkaido.
