The piece marks its composer's centenary as well as the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Roger Norrington conducts Indra Thomas (soprano), Christine Rice (mezzo-soprano), Ian Bostridge (tenor), Willard White (bass), and the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.
