Stephanie Hughes introduces the opening concert live from the Royal Albert Hall , where chief conductor Leonard Slatkin will be leading the BBC Symphony Chorus and Orchestra with acclaimed American mezzo Lorraine Hunt Lieberson in tonight's programme.
