The girls get their hair braided and wrapped with colorful thread, which turns out to be more trouble than it's worth. Also in this episode, Kate and the kids make a patriotic cake that looks like the American flag to enjoy after their big seafood dinner. The kids get to play with sparklers for the first time and finish the day off with watching fireworks by a lighthouse!
