Peter is torn between fear and desire when his ex-wife Janet arrives at the hotel and is determined to reconcile and prove she is no longer an alcoholic. After setbacks prompt Janet to drink again, Peter has to rescue her from a suicide attempt. Janet decides to leave the next morning.
