Jing Shi finally gets the revenge he’s been planning and waiting for, but is dismayed when Yi Xiao makes it clear she only sees him as her enemy. Sui Ge gathers his men for a showdown with Jing Shi, who has prepared an ambush. Unwilling to accompany the dead Emperor in the mausoleum, the Empress Zhuang makes her own plans for her future. In the aftermath, Sui Ge leaves the governmental affairs to Xi Yang, while Cheng Yang lives in seclusion in Youqi temple, and Sui Ge mourns for 3 years before deciding what to do next.
