Meanwhile, he receives a strange offer from Shabaka to return to fighting, which makes Yehya consult his old coach Tambi about that surprising offer. But Yehia later discovers that he has dementia.

Yehya decides to train again after learning he has Alzheimer's... which causes Tempy’s return... but after a short period of training, and despite Tempy’s insistence that he’s not ready... Yehya decides to take on a fight, which he loses after suffering a panic attack. He is defeated in front of the committee that selects the fighters for a major tournament being held in Egypt.
