MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica

The first annual MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica 2002 took place on October 24, 2002, in Miami at the Jackie Gleason Theater.

The second annual MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica 2003 took place on October 23, 2003, in Miami at the Jackie Gleason Theater for the second time in a row. Diego Luna hosted the awards alone for the first time.

The annual MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica 2004 took place on October 21, 2004 in Miami at the Jackie Gleason Theater for the third time in a row. Paulina Rubio was the first woman to host the awards.

The annual MTV Videos Music Awards Latinoamérica were to be held Wednesday, October 19 at the Xcaret Park's Great Tlachco Theater in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, for the first time in a different location since their creation. However, due to the approach of Hurricane Wilma towards the Mexican Riviera Maya, the show was moved from October 20 to the 19th, but it was eventually postponed. The date was then moved again, this time to December 22.

The annual Premios MTV Latinoamérica 2006 took place on October 19, 2006 in Mexico City at Palacio de los Deportes for the first time. They were the first MTV awards celebrated in Latin America since last year's awards were cancelled due to Hurricane Wilma approaching to the Riviera Maya.

The annual Premios MTV Latinoamérica 2007 took place on 18 October 2007 in Mexico City at the Palacio de los Deportes for the second time in a row. Diego Luna was the host for the third time.

The seventh annual Premios MTV Latinoamérica 2008 took place on October 16, 2008 in Guadalajara, Mexico at the Auditorio Telmex for the first time.

The eighth annual Premios MTV Latinoamérica 2009 took place on October 15, 2009 in Bogotá, Colombia at Corferias, at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, United States, Mexico City, Mexico and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
