MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica
Los Premios MTV Latinoamérica was the Latin American version of the Video Music Awards. They were established in 2002 to celebrate the top music videos of the year in Latin America and the world. They are presented annually and broadcast live on MTV Networks Latin America. In 2010, the awards were cancelled replaced by the MTV World Stage Mexico.

The second annual MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica 2003 took place on October 23, 2003, in Miami at the Jackie Gleason Theater for the second time in a row. Diego Luna hosted the awards alone for the first time.

The annual MTV Video Music Awards Latinoamérica 2004 took place on October 21, 2004 in Miami at the Jackie Gleason Theater for the third time in a row. Paulina Rubio was the first woman to host the awards.

The annual MTV Videos Music Awards Latinoamérica were to be held Wednesday, October 19 at the Xcaret Park's Great Tlachco Theater in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, for the first time in a different location since their creation. However, due to the approach of Hurricane Wilma towards the Mexican Riviera Maya, the show was moved from October 20 to the 19th, but it was eventually postponed. The date was then moved again, this time to December 22.

The annual Premios MTV Latinoamérica 2006 took place on October 19, 2006 in Mexico City at Palacio de los Deportes for the first time. They were the first MTV awards celebrated in Latin America since last year's awards were cancelled due to Hurricane Wilma approaching to the Riviera Maya.
