They soon discover the village is home to a group of millionaires who had all mysteriously become rich at the age of 25. Rohan and Izumi enter one of the houses, only to realize they they are trapped by a mysterious power that won't let them progress unless they follow specific rules lest they suffer the consequences.

Rohan explains that due to his research about the Yokai legend he bought 6 mountains in order to stop a corporation who wanted to build a resort in that area. When the resort plan was abandoned, Rohan's lands lose its value and he is unable to recover his money. However, Rohan tells his editor the research was a success and begins telling him about it.

Following DIO's orders, Steely Dan ruthlessly kills Enyaba in front of them. Jotaro and the others can't help but feel conflicted about that happening, and end up in a battle with Steely Dan.

Dan puts himself at an advantage, with having Joseph's life on the line, and tells Jotaro to do various things for him, knowing Jotaro has no choice but to obey. Meanwhile, Kakyoin and Polnareff also enter Joseph's brain with their Stands and find the Stand that is using brain cells as food.

Jotaro and the others continue their journey through the desert, trying to get to Cairo. They travel with camels and can't shake the feeling that someone is following them, but no one is in sight. Traveling in the killer heat, they realize that it's still bright out at 8pm and the sun is actually rising rather than setting.

Kakyoin tries to convince the others that the baby is suspicious, but that backfires and his friends start to doubt his sanity. Kakyoin then tries to convince them that he's not crazy, and shows them his arm that has "Baby Stand" carved into it... but that just makes them believe he really is crazy. Kakyoin then tries to use his Stand to attack, but is knocked out by Polnareff. Eventually, Jotaro and the others wake up in the nightmare and the truth finally comes out.

Jotaro and the others obtain a submarine as a new means of travel. Through the Red Sea, they try to head toward Egypt where DIO awaits. Using the sonar to detect any threats on the outside, the submarine quietly dives in. They however realize that if they're attacked underwater, there is nowhere to escape, so they are on their guard. Finally, when they are about to surface, a coffee mug that was in the cabin transforms and cuts off Joseph's artificial hand.

However, as soon as the dogs go into the mansion, they are impaled by a giant icicle. Iggy is shocked by the occurance, and sees a falcon appear...

Polnareff is pushed to his limits with Vanilla Ice's merciless attacks. He finally awaits death, but is saved at the last minute by the dying Iggy. Iggy uses the last bit of his energy, but his Stand is obviously losing power. Polnareff then stabs Vanilla Ice in the head. Despite showing resilience to the attacks so far, Vanilla Ice is finally destroyed.

April 1999. Jotaro Kujo arrives to Morioh City in search of someone named Higashikata, and ends up running into a young man surrounded by delinquents. Jotaro then finds out that his name is Josuke Higashikata, and was exactly the person he was looking for.

Josuke spots the terrible and violent villain Angelo's Stand, and tells Jotaro about that incident. Jotaro figures it's a Stand that can somehow enter people, so he warns Josuke to not eat or drink anything until he can get to him. Right when he's told that, Josuke witnesses the Stand go into his mother, and then does the unthinkable.

Then suddenly, a man named Tamami Kobayashi appears. Despite it being an accident, he demands money from Koichi, saying that he'll use it to bury the cat. Koichi can't process what's going on, but Tamami keeps pushing that he can't just leave after what happened. Koichi is filled with guilt, and then suddenly, a giant lock pops out of his chest...

At first, he couldn't hide his joy from being asked out, but quickly has second thoughts when she suddenly loses her temper with him. The next day, she knitted him a sweater, made him lunch, and did other things for him that makes Koichi start to wonder about her. Yukako obssession worsens, and she does the unthinkable.

Yukako then goes to the phone to order some ingredients but then something unexpected happens...

Tonio wants Okuyasu to feel better, and first, offers him water. Okuyasu is moved at how wonderful it tastes. He's actually moved to tears at how delicious the water is, but then starts showing even weirder symptoms...

Jotaro believes that Red Hot Chili Pepper will try to get to Joseph's boat with something that requires a battery, so he leaves Josuke and Koichi at the harbor, telling them to attack the user if he shows himself. As Josuke is dealing with his conflicting feelings towards Joseph, the very confident user of Red Hot Chili Pepper shows himself.

He manages to catch up to Joseph, but then Joseph tells him that there's a Stand user nearby...

He tells the arrow to choose someone, and shoots them. Meanwhile, Rohan was at Morioh Station taking pictures of various men going to work, trying to locate Yoshikage. He tells Joseph that he wants to find him before Kira tries to kill off his new family. Then suddenly, a boy walks up to him and challenges him to janken (rock-paper-scissors).

Giorno and Mista somewhat make it to Venice, despite being partially frozen by Ghiaccio. But in order to try to get away from Ghiaccio, Giorno drives their car into the canal and they get stuck. Mista tries to sacrifice himself, but Giorno tells him that what's important right now isn't for him to sacrifice himself but for him to have resolve.

Bucciarati goes up the tower with Trish, but while they're in the elevator, Trish suddenly disappears. Bucciarati then realizes what the boss's true motives are.
