Meanwhile, J.W. and Andell are invited over to dinner, by Dee, to celebrate their anniversary of their first date; much to Frank's chagrin.

While playing a friendly game of Truth or Dare, Kim and Niecy dare an innocent Moesha to get a tattoo. She reluctantly agrees to the dare only if Kim and Niecy go with her. After learning that Kim really didn't get her nose pierced and Niecy didn't get anything at all, a new branded Moesha must now face her father. Trying to stay cool and calm, Frank goes along with Dee's plans of letting Moesha grow up, but he accidentally tells Moesha his opinion of her. Meanwhile, Hakeem takes a second job at The Den, but he unknowingly mixes Andell's imported colon cleanser mix into the smoothies and serves them to customers.

Morgan throws a co-ed slumber party and Moesha invites Kim, Hakeem and Niecy. At the party, they find out that the boys sleepover, too. Also, Niecy finds the courage to talk to Marco and Mary Ellen tries desperately to get into the party. After seeing Jeremy dancing with various females, Moesha finally decides to talk to him. Meanwhile, Frank and Dee have a romantic evening at home, but they're interrupted by the news that there are boys at the slumber party. After seeing Moesha walking downstairs and holding hands with Jeremy, Frank scolds Moesha; resulting in Moesha moving out.

After leaving home, Moesha turns to Andell for the night. Although she promises Andell she'll go back home the next day, she surprises Andell by staying at The Den the following day. Upset that Moesha lied to her, Andell forces Moesha to talk to Frank, but nothings changed between them. Back at Andell's Moesha becomes a bother to Andell and her new beau, Uncle Bernie.

After Kim forgets to purchase tickets to a sold-out concert featuring R&B singer Brandy, Moesha decides to spend her weekend alone with her new beau, Aaron, a college student whom she met over the summer. But when Moesha starts to push the relationship further (mainly due to her strange suggestions), the two break up. Later, Moesha, Kim, Niecy and Hakeem attempt to get into the concert. Backstage, Moesha meets Brandy who gives her some advice.

Old sparks flame again for Moesha and Aaron, but she becomes more interested in Mervin. Later, Mervin slips Moesha a drug in her drink, but Aaron comes to her rescue. Meanwhile, Myles has a slumber party.

Now that they're a couple again, Moesha tries to discover what true love is all about. Niecy reveals that she's the first out of the group to have sex; prompting a curious Moesha with various questions about love and sex. Moesha and Kim visit the health clinic where Moesha prescribes for birth control pills. Later, Dee finds the pills in Moesha's purse; leading to a serious conversation about sex. Dee promises Moesha that she won't tell Frank about the pills. Moesha meets Aaron but her anticipation for a romantic evening turn into a nightmare when she learns that he has had many sexual partners. Upset, Moesha walks out of his life for good.

An elder man visits the store to apply for a job, but Eddie tells him that they haven't hired anyone new in awhile. Later, the unemployed man is now dressed as Santa Claus and holds the entire store hostage.

One of Myles' friends named Justin reveals a story that he has trouble reading (only so he can be around Moesha). So, Moesha decides to write a story on Justin's illiteracy but she forgets one important thing-- she didn't check the facts after Justin lied about not being able to read. Meanwhile, Frank goes on a diet after he becomes slightly overweight.

Moesha convinces Niecy to pretend to be her secretary. She then interviews Dr. Angelou in Joe's office. Dr. Angelou clues in on the fact that Moesha is hungry for recognition. Moesha confesses that she has decided to bypass college so she can work on her writing career. Dr. Angelou gives her a profound reason to reconsider college. Later, Joe praises Moesha on her writing, but apologizes that he will have to fire her for misrepresenting herself as staff writer. Moesha later tells her family that she has decided to go to college.

After getting heavily drunk, Moesha's faced with having to call Frank to pick her up. But Dorian comes to the girls' rescue by secretly taking Frank's car. Meanwhile, Myles, influenced by Dorian to change his image, dyes his hair and wears baggy garment to impress his classmates during his first week of junior high.

Ray asks Moesha to finish the paper for him because he's too busy with practice and studying plays. Moesha agrees to write it, since they're friends. Dorian sees Moesha's writing Ray's paper and teases her, claiming that he uses the same game with girls at his school. Moesha reconsiders writing the paper and tells Ray that she can not do his paper for him. Upset, Ray tells her that he's not interested in a friendship with her if he can't benefit from it.

Frank finds a case of birth control pills in the trash. He asks Dee why she's taking the pills when they're trying to have a baby. She tells him the pills are Moesha's. Frank is angry with Dee because she concealed the fact that Moesha started taking birth control pills. Dee tells Moesha that Frank knows about the pills. Moesha tries to apologize, but Frank's too angry to discuss the matter. Later, Andell comes by to find Frank alone. When he tells her about the pills, Andell relates his experience to one she had with her father. She questions whom Frank is trying to protect--Moesha or himself. Frank asks for Dee's forgiveness and apologizes to Moesha. Meanwhile, Moesha stands up for Dorian when he's wrongfully accused of stealing.

Niecy tells the Mitchells that she heard a rumor that Andell is losing The Den. After stopping by The Den and learning that the result of the rumor was true, Moesha goes to Frank to see if they can do a fund-raiser to save The Den. A company called Biggs Mortuary plans to buy the property and replace The Den with a casket store. Moesha goes by to see Mrs. Biggs to appeal on behalf of The Den. During a farewell party, Moesha tells Andell that she has saved The Den. instead of being happy, Andell is angry. Moesha didn't realize that Andell really wanted to leave to do something different with her life. Andell is able to persuade Mrs. Biggs to buy The Den again. The next day, Moesha, Hakeem and Niecy help Andell move out her last few belongings before they say goodbye to one of the most important places of their lives.

Niecy, who's suspected all along that the two are secretly in love, tells her that dreams reveal one's true feelings. That night, Moesha dreams that Hakeem joins her in bed. This time, Moesha is so disturbed about the dream that she tells Niecy that she wants to cancel going to the mountains. Niecy forces her to talk to Hakeem because they won't be able to afford the trip if she backs out. Hakeem takes Moesha's dream lightly. Later that evening, Hakeem dreams that he goes to Moesha's house and passionately kisses her.

Musical guest: DMX Moesha and Niecy go on a trip to Santa Barbara for their first spring break, but Moesha and Niecy's awaited trip is interrupted by the presences of two college students named Alicia and Joy who both end up in the same hotel room as Mo and Niecy after the hotel accidentally over-booked them. After Alicia sees Moesha dancing with her ex-boyfriend Rodney, she spreads a rumor that Moesha slept around in Santa Barbara. Meanwhile, Dorian has trouble writing a history paper but plans to pass by using one of Mo's old papers.

Khalib advises his help and concern for Moesha and offers to lend them the money. But when Moesha tells Q the news, he overreacts; leading to the end of their engagement.

Moesha continues to help Dorian search for his birth mother. Hakeem thinks that Moesha shouldn't go digging up the past or she'll be faced with the possibility of a painful past. She assures Hakeem that she realizes the consequences but wants to continue the search for Dorian's sake. They notify a couple of women by the name of Barbara Lee. After tracking her down and learning that her actual name is Barbara Kennedy, Dorian becomes face-to-face with the woman who abandoned him. He learns that his mother also has a daughter, Reecy, and a son named Ray-Ray. When they all sit down and have a conversation, Barbara reveals some shocking news involving Moesha's mother, which Moesha can't accept. Angry and upset, Moesha leaves the apartment. Meanwhile, Frank is challenged to a race against Myles's friend's uncle. After winning the race, Frank's celebration is ruined when he learns that Moesha has been searching for Dorian's mother.

Frank comes to visit Moesha at the dorm and confronts her about her attempts of helping Dorian find his mother. She explains to him that they both have to seriously talk. Dorian tells Barbara that he should take his new relationship with her slowly after a few disagreements. Meanwhile, Moesha and Frank discuss the true facts about Frank's affair with Barbara and his rough marriage with Marguerite.
