Once again, the audience is treated to a selection of impressive scenes from great musicals, where the magic, music, and choreography of each story come to life on stage. Each scene has been carefully chosen to reflect the essence and grandeur of the original musical, ensuring an unforgettable experience for everyone present. The following musicals will be featured: Dyantha in Chicago (All that Jazz), Hans in Elvis (Suspicious Minds), Monique in Promises (I Say a Little Prayer), Vichenzo in Les Miserables (Empty Chairs at Empty Tables), Rosanne in Sweet Charity (Big Spender), Kimberley in Cats (Memory), Bouke in Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Johan in Rocky (Eye of the Tiger), and finally Sosha in Aida (Forget Him).

The remaining eight contestants must audition for a Chorus Line. In musicals, you typically find dancers and movers, and the contestants are grouped accordingly. The dancers are: Rosanne, Kimberley, Dyantha, and Vichenzo. The movers are: Bouke, Hans, Sosha, and Monique. They also reenact a mini-musical, namely the magnificent musical Grease. Dyantha and Vichenzo open with the legendary Summer Nights, followed by Monique with Look At Me, I’m Sandra Dee. Rosanne performs There Are Worse Things I Could Do and Sosha sings Hopelessly Devoted to You. Hans sings Beauty School Dropout, Bouke goes all out with Greased Lightning, and finally, Kimberley and Vichenzo sing You’re the One That I Want. But who will be standing in “The Final Curtain” and who do we have to say goodbye to?

In this episode, the seven remaining contestants perform an impressive ‘showstopper’ from famous musicals. Guided by valuable tips from musical star April Darby, who joins Paul and Albert, they showcase their talent. Sosha kicks off with Move from Dreamgirls, followed by Monique with the moving Is dit alles from Doe Maar. Bouke performs Why God, Why from Miss Saigon, while Kimberley shines with It’s All Coming Back to Me Now from the rock musical Bat Out of Hell. Rosanne takes us back in time with Maybe This Time from Cabaret. Next, Dyantha brings fiery energy with Conga from On Your Feet, and finally, Vichenzo closes the show with Ladies’ Choice from Hairspray. We also bid farewell this week: who will make it through The Final Curtain?

Every scene has been carefully selected to capture the essence and splendor of the original musical, ensuring everyone has an unforgettable experience. The following musicals are featured: Rosanne with the iconic “Over wie anders dan Rob de Nijs” and “Malle Babbe” with “Hou me vast”. Bouke performs as a masked character in The Phantom of the Opera, where he sings the beautiful “Melodieën van de Nacht”. The moving Yentl, in which Kimberley performs “Pap, kun je me horen”. From the 1930s, Foxtrot presents “De laatste dans” – will this also apply to Dyantha? Sosha shines in the beautiful Aida with the song “Mijn pakkie an”, about clothing. And Vichenzo jumps and flies in Aladdin during the scene “Eén sprong”. As always, the dreaded final curtain follows, after which the audience decides who goes through.

In this episode, dance and singing are once again under considerable pressure. Now that the competition has been underway for weeks, the bar for the contestants is noticeably higher. Guided by valuable advice from none other than Jan Kooijman, they are working on their musical performances. Kimberley opens the evening with & Juliet and an impressive rendition of Roar, followed by Dyantha with the dynamic Six and the powerful performance of No Way. Next, Bouke takes the stage as the charming smooth operator in Guys and Dolls with the classic Luck Be a Lady. Finally, Rosanne closes the evening with 9 to 5: The Musical and Sosha with 42nd Street, featuring two iconic title songs that bring the program to a spectacular end. And who is in the final curtain?

And of course, the romantic duets cannot be missing. This week, together with guest appearances from the best musical stars in the Netherlands, they present an unforgettable show. We kick off with Bouke, who performs the beautiful "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge together with Tessa Sunniva. An enchanting moment in which their voices blend and we are swept away into the magic of this musical classic. Dyantha shines alongside Esmee Dekker, known from Wicked, with a beautiful rendition of What Is This Feeling. Meanwhile, Rosanne, who grows and gets stronger week after week, takes on the musical duel with Marlijn Weerdenburg in the musical Chess with the moving I Know Him So Well. As the icing on the cake, Sosha gets to perform the breathtaking A Star Is Born together with musical legend René van Kooten, singing the compelling Shallow together. Who will it be that just misses the final? The tension is rising!
