In this first episode of our backpacking documentary series we travel to Hong Kong and China. We begin our adventure with a few days in Hong Kong before heading to Guilin, China, where we enjoyed the Chinese New Year festivities and explored the nearby countryside of Yangshou and the Longji Rice Fields.

An action packed journey through South East Asia - this episode has a bit of everything: partying, wake boarding and rock climbing on Castaway Island in Halong Bay; tubing in Laos; visiting the Killing Fields in Phnom Penh; exploring Angkor Wat; firing AK-47s at a shooting range; travelling to a fishing village near Siem Reap plus lots more.

In this episode we have an entire month to travel in Thailand Starting with enjoying the delights of Khao San Road in Bangkok; going on a jungle adventure in Chiang Mai before going on the longest canopy zip line in the world at Flight Of The Gibbons. Then we head south to experience the beaches, parties and paradise on the islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Phi Phi.

Episode 4 of our backpacking documentary series sees us skip through Malaysia & Singapore to spend more time in Bali! This episode is all about Bali. Things don't go to plan in Malaysia which buys us some extra time to enjoy Kuta, the Gili Islands, Ubud and climbing Mt Batur an active volcano.

Episode 5 of our backpacking documentary series sees us in a new continent as we travel through Australia. We travel with Wayoutback Tours for a road trip through the Australian Outback from Darwin to Alice Springs, exploring the national parks with a fantastic group and a guide that pushed our experience to another level. Crocodile Dundee, didgeridoos, snakes, spiders - every Australian cliché you can think of is here. Setting off from Darwin our tour takes them through Kakadu National Park, Mary River National Park & Litchfield National Park. Heading south they stop at the Old Daly Waters pub before exploring Devils Marbles Conservation Reserve.

E6Episode 6 - Backpacking in Australia - Ayers Rock + Cairns to Melbourne

Episode 6 of our backpacking documentary series as we travel through Australia, finishing off our tour in the Outback and then heading down the East Coast. Our Wayoutback Tour continues with Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Kings Canyon before flying out to the east coast. Working our way from Cairns down to Melbourne, this is one of the most popular backpacking routes in the world. Starting with snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef, wey then go sailing on the British Defender through the Whitsundays. Filming at Fraser Island doesn't go to plan, but we continue south through Byron Bay, Nimbin, Sydney, checking out the Blue Mountains before finishing in Melbourne.

Landing in Chile, we try to work our way across Argentina and Brazil without knowing a word of Spanish or Portuguese! Our journey takes us through the Andes to the wineries of Mendoza; the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls; the jungles and beaches of Brazil in Paraty and Ilha Grande; finishing off with a fun few days in Rio de Janeiro.

Travelling with G Adventures on their Amazon to the Andes tour, the first part of our Peruvian Adventure sees them walking the Inca Trail through the Andes to the world famous Machu Picchu. Following this we head deep in to the Amazon Jungle encountering all kinds of wildlife along the way.

The penultimate leg of their trip, this sees us have a holiday within the holiday as we island hop in the Caribbean, go on a jungle cruise in Costa Rica and head up to Nicaragua for one massive party with the Sunday Funday Pool Crawl.

E11Episode 11 - Backpacking in USA & Canada

On our last journey, we travel across America from LA to New York. Travelling along the old Route 66 and then diverting south through Texas towards New Orleans, then up through Nashville to Chicago, popping into Canada to catch up with some friends before finally arriving in New York. However, with our money running out at the US government shutting down, not everything goes to plan on this epic finale to our round the world trip.
