Mister Rogers' Neighborhood

Feb 19, 1968

Title number 0001. Opens with Mr. Rogers talks about tying his shoes. Mrs. Russellite sends an invitation to Mr. Rogers to see her lampshade collection. Lady Elaine's changes to the geography of the Neighborhood of Make-Believe worry King Friday, who begins to impose new rules and restrictions in Make-Believe, and builds a wall.

Feb 20, 1968

Title number 0002. Opens with Mr. Rogers arrives with a painting. Mr. Rogers shows how a burlap bag can be many different things when one imagines it. After he turns it into a cape, Betty (Lady) Aberlin comes to visit and he lends it to her for strength when she goes to visit her great-uncle, King Friday XIII. Meanwhile, King Friday worries about an invasion of people who want to change the Neighborhood of Make-Believe and drafts her as a border guard.

Feb 21, 1968

Title number 0003. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a package from Chef Brockett. Because of the new rules and restrictions in Make-Believe, Cornflake S. Pecially refuses to visit the castle. Chef Brockett delivers a cake to King Friday, who is suspicious of more changes, cuts the cake into many pieces to inspect it.

Feb 22, 1968

Title number 0004. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a playpen and puppy. Mrs. Carol Saunders also makes her first visit. At the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday still wants to protect his province, so he sends Handyman Negri to install punch clocks at both ends of it.

Feb 23, 1968

Title number 0005. Opens with Mister Rogers playing with a feather on the porch. After Mr. Rogers plays with them, Betty Aberlin takes some helium balloons to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Tagging them with a message of peace, she floats them above the castle. When King Friday reads the message, he ceases his efforts to stop change. The wall is taken down. Mister Rogers sings his special family bedtime song called, "Good Night, God" for the first time.

Feb 26, 1968

Title number 0006. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a large box in a lab coat. To prepare for his scientific endeavor, Mr. Rogers puts on a lab coat and compares various shells and shell-like objects, including a turtle shell, a conch shell, an armadillo's armored shell and a suit of armor. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Bud Alder compares oil-based and water-based paints. After sharing his wisdom with X the Owl, X teaches Lady Elaine various bird names.

Feb 27, 1968

Title number 0007. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a birdcage under a blanket. In the Television house, Mr. Rogers takes care of a canary while, in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine is studying birds and learns from Lady Aberlin how practice is needed to learn anything. The "art lady", Mrs. Rubin visits.

Feb 28, 1968

Title number 0008. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a Peace Party sign and a paper airplane. The Neighborhood of Make-Believe celebrates a peace party and honors sixteen year- old majorette Lynda Martha as a guest, while Lady Elaine Fairchilde dresses up as a dove of peace.

Feb 29, 1968

Title number 0009. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving in a hat with a stack of pictures. Mr. Rogers plays audio tapes of Neighborhood of Make-Believe puppet characters in an effort to allow the viewers guess who they are. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Royal Coach Saunders plays hide and seek with Lady Elaine and X.

Mar 1, 1968

Title number 0010. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with binoculars in a case. In the Television house, Mr. Rogers demonstrates the use of binoculars. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin dresses up as a snow goose.

Title number 0011. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with oatmeal and Picture Picture explains how it's made.

Mar 5, 1968

Title number 0012. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a toucan in a cage under a blanket. Jewel Walker visits the television house, where he transforms into Mime Walker. He heads to Make-Believe, where he helps X learn arithmetic with a musician who is playing a French horn for X.

Mar 6, 1968

Title number 0013. Mister Rogers sits on the porch swing listening to the symphony rehearse, and afterwards plays with two different kinds of dominoes. In Make-Believe, Marion Petrov dances for King Friday and Lady Elaine steals King Friday's painting of the Bluebird of Happiness.

Mar 7, 1968

Title number 0014. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with an easel, supplies, and a record. Mister Rogers plays the 4th movement of Brahm's Symphony No 1 and improvises on paper how music in a song makes him feel. Mr. McFeely treats Mister Rogers to a visit with Honey, a chimpanzee from the zoo. Professor Joseph Fitzpatrick is introduced to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe and he discusses Seurat.

Mar 8, 1968

Title number 0015. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving and pinching his finger. Mister Rogers bandages his finger to prove that it is still there even behind the bandage. Vivian Richman introduces folk songs "This Little Light of Mine" and "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands". Dr. Marchl visits the neighborhood of Make-Believe for the first time.

Mar 11, 1968

Title number 0016. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with lumber scraps and uses nails to hammer some of the pieces together to make a boat. In this episode, the puppet character Donkey Hodie appears for the first time. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, artist Virgil Cantini visits and shows King Friday some of his nail sculptures. Lady Aberlin knits a sweater for Henrietta Pussycat. X the Owl wants a gift too, so Lady Aberlin promises to knit him a scarf.

Mar 12, 1968

Title number 0017. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with papers in his hand. A young donkey named Jenny is visiting Mister Rogers on the porch. Back in the house, he, Lady Aberlin, and Mr. McFeely play a game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey. In the Neighborhood of Make Believe, Donkey Hodie has just arrived and is looking for a place to live. He assures Lady Aberlin and Henrietta Pussycat that he no longer bites.

Mar 13, 1968

Title number 0018. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with clarinet in a case. Mister Rogers puts together a clarinet and plays a few notes. He talks about his childhood clarinet lessons and remembers that he did not practice enough. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, clarinetist Loius Paul performs for King Friday and talks about the importance of practice. Mrs. Russellite, played by Barbara Russell brings a pinwheel to Henrietta and is introduced to Donkey Hodie, who is staying in the Tree until he finds a place to live. The pinwheel gives Donkey Hodie the idea to live in a windmill.

Mar 14, 1968

Title number 0019. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a toy raft made out of straws. He plays with it and other floating toys in a tub of water. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Scientist Alder is checking the wind velocity for Donkey Hodie, who is looking for a place with a good wind to build his windmill. He decides the best place would be in the hills behind the Castle, but King Friday objects because he wants his privacy. Back at the house, Mister Rogers shows different kinds of fans.

Mar 15, 1968

Title number 0020. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a model windmill and talks about how windmills work. Judy Rubin, the “Art Lady,” shows some windmills made by children. She and Mister Rogers make windmills of their own. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Daniel tells Handyman Negri he thinks that King Friday is afraid of Donkey Hodie's biting. Maybe that's the reason the King won't allow Donkey Hodie to put his windmill near the castle. When Donkey Hodie convinces the king that he doesn't bite anymore, the king changes his mind.

Mar 18, 1968

Title number 0021. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a bag in which there are two tubs of ice cream. Chef Brockett is ready for Donkey Hodie to break ground for the windmill. Brockett also brings in a snowman made from dough.

Mar 19, 1968

Title number 0022. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with multiple wooden boxes. Mister Rogers covers this episode discussing the White House and the U.S. presidents. Meanwhile, Coach Saunders and King Friday do exercises inside the castle.

Mar 20, 1968

Title number 0023. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a thin case of eyeglasses. Mister Rogers discusses the use of eyeglasses and Picture Picture shows how they are made. Henrietta also receives glasses from Nurse Miller.

Mar 21, 1968

Title number 0024. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with eye charts. Mr. Rogers has his eyes examined. King Friday wants Donkey Hodie's windmill to be built somewhere else.

Mar 22, 1968

Title number 0025. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a small house plant and transfers it to a bigger pot. King Friday is visiting with a man who restores antique furniture. Lady Aberlin, X and Henrietta bring housewarming gifts for Donkey Hodie at his home in "someplace else".

Mar 25, 1968

Title number 0026. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a baby doll in a bag. Mr. Rogers discusses growing and changes a doll's diapers. A friend brings his 5-month-old baby for a short visit. Nurse Miller also assures Tadpole Frogg he is growing at just the right pace. Mr. Rogers then shows a video of Jamie, his eldest son when he was 14 months old on picture picture. Jamie (a.k.a. James), who is now 8 years old, comes to visit and sing the "tomorrow" song with his dad before they leave.

Title number 0027. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with toy baby crib. Mr. Rogers makes a toy bed and pretends to make a doll sleep in it. Lady Elaine also wants Edgar Cooke's pillow.

Title number 0028. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with nesting boxes. At the television house, someone sends a rather unusual box. After he locks his pillow in a safe, Edgar Cooke expresses his different feelings. Lady Elaine Fairchilde finds her special toy, which is a boomerang.

Title number 0029. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a small loom. Mister Rogers demonstrates the use of a small loom and takes a trip to see the large ones being operated by Nantucket Weavers. In Make-Believe, a four string quartet plays for King Friday. In closing, Mr Rogers sings and plays "Good Night, God" on his piano.

Title number 0030. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a violin and a viola in cases. After Mr. Rogers demonstrates the use of violins and violas, he invites Michael Grebanier to play his cello. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine has a new boomerang trick that is turning everything upside down.

Title number 0031. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving and talking about a trip to the zoo. Mr. Rogers discusses wild animals and Mr. McFeely brings in a Mexican parakeet.

Title number 0032. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a box of masks. Mr. Rogers puts on various masks to prove he doesn't change when he puts one on. The Neighborhood of Make-Believe is trying to trace out what is believed to be a red monster.

Title number 0033. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with ballet art and a bag of oranges. Mr. Rogers gives some oranges to the members of a ballet company that is set to perform "The Sad Monster Ballet".

Apr 4, 1968

Title number 0034. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a glass bottle. Mr. Rogers plays music by blowing across bottles of water. Mr. McDonald also makes a visit to play a section of Die Miestersinger on the tuba. The Neighborhood of Make-Believe summons Digger Digorum to search for the mysterious red monster.

Title number 0035. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving and making a tunnel from chairs and a blanket. Mr. Rogers and Chef Brockett make their own tunnels from what is around them. The Neighborhood of Make-Believe finally concludes no red monsters are in the tunnels.

Title number 0036. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving a rocking chair. Mister Rogers visits Mr. Dennis who is demonstrating how to make rattan chair seats by hand. In Make-Believe, Digger Digorum bears gifts as she leaves the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.

Apr 9, 1968

Title number 0037. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with paints and paper. Inside the Television house, Peggy Lipschutz draws with chalk while Vivian Richman plays guitar and sings four songs, along with Joe Davidson on banjo, and Charles Kubelik on bass violin. Songs include a song in Hebrew, based on Psalms 133, "John Henry" and "This Land is Your Land".

Apr 10, 1968

Title number 0038. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a bicycle handle. Mr. Rogers demonstrates exercises by using a stationary exercise bicycle and free weights. He then sings "I Like You As You Are". Lady Betty Aberlin tries out the exercise bike. In Make-Believe, Sara Saturday, who had been the damsel in distress a week earlier and frightened by the monster, is welcomed to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Lady Aberlin sings "Then Your Heart Is Full Of Love".

Title number 0039. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a letter. The Neighborhood of Make-Believe is preparing to hold a reception party for Sara Saturday. Handyman Negri goes to a men's fashion show at the Museum-Go-Round so he can find the perfect outfit for the reception.

Title number 0040. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with two cut out S shapes and dressed in a tuxedo. The reception party for Sara Saturday takes place.

Apr 15, 1968

Title number 0041. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving in a rain coat twirling a bag. Mister Rogers talks about sewing, and shows a needlepoint creation of the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Corny, X and Henrietta have various reactions to the rain in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Lady Aberlin and X sing "Creation Duet".

Apr 16, 1968

Title number 0042. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a book about paper airplanes and sits on the porch to sing. Lady Aberlin gives X the scarf that she had promised for him after she visits with Daniel Striped Tiger and they sing "I Like You As You Are". In turn, X gives her a walnut, and she takes it to the new trading tower that Grand-père has established.

Apr 17, 1968

Title number 0043. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a harmonica and sits on the porch. Mister Rogers talks about missing people and plays a harmonica, then his piano. He plays about his feelings. In Make Believe, John Reardon appears for the first time. King Friday asks him to make an opera, and Reardon gets started on it right away. Back at the house, Mr Rogers shows how to write music on a chalkboard.

Title number 0044. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a milk bottle. Mr Rogers takes care of a baby chimpanzee. Reardon holds auditions for his opera while Mrs. Frogg provides the costumes. Sara Saturday has to babysit during the opera so Henrietta decides to be a babysitter in the opera.

Title number 0045. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a box with a hat and cape inside. During Reardon's opera, Lady Aberlin hires Henrietta to look after Donkey Hodie.

Apr 22, 1968

Title number 0046. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a briefcase. Mr. Rogers gets a haircut while discussing with the barber how it doesn't hurt. The same barber also cuts Corny's hair and a gymnast named Bernard is in Make Believe.

Apr 23, 1968

Title number 0047. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a book of Fur, Feathers, and Hair. Mr Rogers reads a book that depicts Henrietta and X the Owl. They are flattered when Lady Aberlin shows them. Nicholas and Marion Petrov visit the Neighborhood of Make-Believe dressed up as X the Owl and Henrietta Pussycat. They dance in both costumes and in leotards.

Apr 24, 1968

Title number 0048. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a dachshund and shows a book with all types of dogs. Chef Brockett, who is in apple-giving mood, gives apples, applesauce and apple juice. Mr Rogers and Chef Brockett bob for apples in the kitchen. Mr McFeely brings a poodle before they all leave for the day.

Apr 25, 1968

Title number 0049. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a straw in his front pocket. Mr. Rogers uses drinking straws to demonstrate the use of blowing soap bubbles. Mrs. Rubin also shows paintings that were all done with straws. King Friday is missing Sara Saturday. Lady Aberlin invites everyone to the castle to see a dancer named Paul Draper.

Title number 0050. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a picnic basket of fruit. Mr. McFeely brings over a battery operated steam shovel. Dr. Marchl enjoys Grand-père's machine because it responds to all French words. Marchl then talks with Henrietta and X about the way boys and girls do things differently.

Title number 0051. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with stuffed bears. Mime Walker pantomimes Goldilocks and the Three Bears as Grand-père tells the story. Mr. Rogers also gets to see a real trained bear.

Title number 0052. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a bag and a painting. In the Television house, Katie Lewin tells Mr. Rogers how puzzles are made. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri and Daniel organize their own play retitled as "Benjamin Franklin and the Three Bears" at the request of X.

May 1, 1968

Title number 0053. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a box with items of Benjamin Franklin and a candle maker. Mr. Rogers discusses Benjamin Franklin and reads about Franklin as a boy. The Neighborhood of Make-Believe expands their play into becoming "Goldilocks, Benjamin Franklin, and the Three Bears".

May 2, 1968

Title number 0054. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with bread in a bag. Alder demonstrates how heat causes things to change. X prints signs to advertise the play. King Friday wants a part in it and the title is expanded to "King Friday, Goldilocks, Benjamin Franklin and the three bears".

May 3, 1968

Title number 0055. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a string of yarn and a sock. The Neighborhood of Make-Believe stages the play "King Friday, Goldilocks, Benjamin Franklin and the three bears".

May 6, 1968

Title number 0056. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a basket of vegetables. Chef Brockett also shows cooked vegetables to both Rogers and the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.

May 7, 1968

Title number 0057. Opens with Mister Rogers discussing rabbits brought to the porch by Mr. McFeely. A friend brings over a bunny marionette. Henrietta is bored and is cheered up by a familiar face. It turns out to be Joey Hollingsworth in disguise returning from a trip around the world where he learned new styles of dance and sold many "Rockit" rocking chairs for Corny.

May 8, 1968

Title number 0058. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with wood for a dollhouse. Mr. Rogers talks about the arrival of a new baby after he puts together a toy dollhouse made all out of wood. Meanwhile, Corny is too busy to spend a lot of time with Joey Hollingsworth. King Friday is also unwilling to give too much of his time.

May 9, 1968

Title number 0059. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a hammer. Mr. Rogers demonstrates the use of three tools, a hacksaw, a hammer, and a screwdriver. Handyman Negri comes to fix Rogers' sink. Tadpole Frogg expresses his sadness for thinking he had broken a fountain.

May 10, 1968

Title number 0060. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a marionette. Mr. Rogers demonstrates using a clown marionette and a dance recital by Joey Hollingsworth is prepared in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Daniel and Lady Aberlin play a clapping game. It is at the request of Sara Saturday that the recital is planned. King Friday tries to blunt the dance recital by forbidding applause and moving the start time forward, as he tries to woo Sara Saturday.

May 13, 1968

Title number 0061. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a bucket. Mister Rogers makes mud pies and a dam with dirt and water. Professor Fitzpatrick illustrates the difference between a calm sea and a rough sea through showing famous paintings and then drawing with charcoal. Corny and Joey Hollingsworth are digging a well together and as a result, they will be able to sell more rockers. Joey is ready to go on another selling trip for Corny but before he goes, Joey shows Daniel how a water pump works and gives one more little dance.

May 14, 1968

Title number 0062. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with bottle of milk in a bag. With pipes now carrying water into Corny's factory, Corny sends a water-filled goblet and cup to King Friday.

May 15, 1968

Title number 0063. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with hot dog buns in a brown bag. Mister Rogers warms some wiener buns in his oven so that Chef Brockett and Mr. McFeely can enjoy them. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, everyone has turned their attention on the fire that has completely burned down Corny's factory. King Friday and Henrietta are especially frightened. Chef Brockett and Lady Aberlin help to put out the fire. Corny is devastated, so Daniel shows kindness by inviting him to stay with him at his Clock until the factory is ready again. Mr. Rogers talks about how many things can be scary when they are out of control, such as fires.

May 16, 1968

Title number 0064. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving and then discusses firemen. Picture Picture shows what firemen do before they go to help people. Mr. McFeely helps Mr. Rogers put on a fireman's outfit and pretend rescues a doll. He also sings "Sometimes I Don't Understand". In Make-Believe, Handyman Negri and Daniel help Corny to process his sad and mad feelings, giving him hope from his distressed state. Handyman Negri gets right to work, rebuilding Corny's factory. Lady Elaine is worried that everyone thinks she started the fire, but we learn that even she can be an imp, she never wants to hurt anyone. She and Mr. Negri find the most important pieces of the factory. They sing the "Sometimes People are Good" song.

May 17, 1968

Title number 0065. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a bag of wood logs. Lady Aberlin, Handyman Negri, and X rebuild all of Corny's factory. Everyone donates something to help, including King Friday.

May 20, 1968

Title number 0066. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a bag of toy cars. Mr. Rogers explains how all toys do what you want them to do. His son, John, also makes his first appearance on the show to play with model antique cars. Meanwhile, at the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Corny's newly rebuilt factory offers to help Mime Jewel Walker in his go-cart play-act.

May 21, 1968

Title number 0067. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a yoyo. King Friday is ready to dedicate the new factory, but Lady Elaine senses he is afraid of elevators. This changes some of the dedication.

May 22, 1968

Title number 0068. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a bag of all different kinds of toy bicycles, and explains the difference between them, tricycles, and unicycles. He sings the "Everybody's Fancy" song. He also then attends a children's dance class taught by Miss Nelson and Bruce of Dimension 5 records, and is introduced to Bruce's "musical computer". Later, Blackberry the cat comes to visit before accompanying Mr. Rogers back home.

May 23, 1968

Title number 0069. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with then reading a poem he wrote. Donkey Hodie has had no visitors at his unseen home and wants some to come.

May 24, 1968

Title number 0070. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a briefcase containing glass blown animals made by Mr. Zandhuis, who then comes to show how glass is blown into different shapes, such as a swan. Henrietta must tell everyone how to get to "Someplace Else", which is where Donkey Hodie lives. Lady Aberlin coerces the king to come with them by telling him one of his famous speeches is expected. Everyone travels from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe to his mysterious home at the Windmill so that Donkey Hodie can get his wish of visitors all day long. Mr Rogers sings "Once Upon Each Lovely Day".

May 27, 1968

Title number 0071. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a toothbrush, tooth paste, and tooth powder. He brushes his teeth and shows a film of his dental checkup. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mr. McFeely brings Donkey Hodie some mouthwash. Sara Saturday hosts a dance recital at the castle where the dancers dance to the stories told by Donkey Hodie and King Friday, and Sara Saturday.

May 28, 1968

Title number 0072. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with plant food and talks about how plants and people grow. Judy Ruben shows crafts that kids made with recycled containers. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday and Handyman Negri start a campaign against littering and they learn that everyone is interested in cleaning up the environment.

May 29, 1968

Title number 0073. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with two boxes which contain a ring and a hat. Mr Rogers sings "Let's Go Right Away". Lady Elaine is derided for throwing litter around as a protest. What she really has wanted is one of Chef Brockett's cookies.

May 30, 1968

Title number 0074. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a basket of laundry. Mr Rogers does some ironing and washing clothes. Major Smith gives King Friday a citation to start the Neighborhood of Make-Believe clean-up campaign.

May 31, 1968

Title number 0075. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a bag of thermometers. Lady Aberlin dresses up as X so she can welcome Miss Emilie, who has been ill for some time. But first, at the house with Mister Rogers, Emilie Jacobson recites one of her poems about coming home.

Jun 3, 1968

Title number 0076. Opens with Mister Rogers arriving with a briefcase and box containing dolls of all kinds. Betty Aberlin visits to finish making a doll for King Friday. Dr. Marchl gets opinions from Corny, Mrs. Frogg, and Lady Aberlin. She is trying to cheer up King Friday, who has been missing Sara Saturday.

Mr Rogers sings "Let's Be Together Today" and Mr McFeely lends him an animal number book. Robert Troll makes his first visit to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe because he wants to see Sara Saturday in Westwood. However, he must wait a day for Westwood's wise women.

Robert Troll is still appreciative. Fortunately, he meets Gloria Onque, one of Sara Saturday's wise women. She is about to meet with King Friday. This is the last episode to be aired in black and white. In addition this is the only season to be broadcast this way and is also the only season with more than a hundred episodes in a single year.

Mister Rogers enters with a blue circle and compares it to round objects. Mrs. Frogg receives a telegram that says she has been offered a position at the Westwood zoo, but the Frogg family must get permission from King Friday to leave, since there will be no one to run the Museum-Go-Round.

King Friday needs to find another curator to operate the Museum-Go-Round. The Frogg family cannot leave until Lady Aberlin and others can fill that post. In the meantime, King Friday has a portrait of himself to give the Frogg family. Handyman Negri also arrives at Rogers' television house to collect a frame for the picture which sends to the neighborhood on the trolley.

Rogers discusses antiques and uses a vacuum cleaner to show how it works. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine applies for the position of Museum-Go-Round curator. Since she knows everything in the Museum, she is awarded the job. This enables the Frogg family to move to Westwood.

The Frogg family moves to their new home in Westwood. Tadpole Frogg expresses his feelings about the move. Lady Elaine Fairchilde, the Museum-Go-Round's new curator, is also pleased with the move.

In this episode Mister Rogers paints the walls of the television house blue. From Seasons 2-3 the walls of the television house were painted yellow with the brown wooden bottom panels. From Seasons 4-6 The walls of the television house were painted a brighter yellow but more of a tan color and the brown wooden bottom panels were removed from the walls. Parts of the kitchen set were also updated. The walls of the television house would stay blue until the end of the series in 2001. Beginning with this episode Mister Rogers says "You're alive" in a higher toned voice. This is the first episode to use what would become the show's more-familiar neighborhood toy-like model town and it was used until the end of the series in 2001.

Rogers shows how a bed tray is used. Lady Elaine Fairchilde puts on cooking shows at MGR-TV. But the station is strapped into inaction because Lady Elaine doesn't have a TV license.

Rogers first shows his driver's license. As a favor for Mr. McFeely, he gives a delivery to Trow's workshop. Robert Trow is giving a lesson on silkscreening to a professional artist. The Neighborhood of Make-Believe has waited a weekend for the license for MGR-TV. A few hurdles still have to be cleared. X and Mr. McFeely have delivered to an empty studio. But Lady Elaine and King Friday arrive in haste, eager to get MGR-TV back on the air.

Negri's Music Shop has a display of television equipment. Rogers and Negri take turns working the camera and performing music on-screen. Before leaving the shop, Rogers encounters Terri and Chrissy Thompson, who are arranging a puppet show. MGR-TV still continues to emerge at the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, creating program ideas on the spot. To help tiring camera operator, Lady Aberlin, Handyman Negri provides a rolling camera attachment.

Mister Rogers brings with him a collection of puppets from around the world that were provided by the Lovelace Marionette Theatre. He then goes to Elsie Neal's shop to find Elsie Neal helping Terri and Chrissy Thompson for their upcoming puppet show. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Elaine is ready to do remote TV work. The first act is Lady Aberlin in a primitive witch costume, which scares Henrietta.

Chrissy Thompson tells a story of how a girl had despised her braces and crutches, but changed her mind thanks to Chrissy's television visits. X and Lady Aberlin help to comfort Henrietta Pussycat by telling her in song, Witches Aren't Real.

In preparation for Chrissy and Terri's puppet show, Mister Rogers has made an "icebox cake" from chocolate wafers and whipped cream. Before the play, the Neighborhood of Make-Believe finds Lady Aberlin in search of the world's smallest talking witch.

Mister Rogers plays a few rounds of hide and seek with viewers before Audrey Roth invites him to see her new mobile home which will serve as both her home and office. With Frisbees scattered around her desk at the office, Barbara Russell is working on a new promotion for Audrey Cleans Everything: "It's as easy to find our new location as it is to throw a Frisbee." Audrey shows Mister Rogers around her new home. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Purple Panda has recently returned from the circus when Barbara B. Frisbee arrives at the castle. Purple Panda joins her for some Frisbee throwing fun as Lady Elaine Fairchilde recognizes Barbara B. Frisbee as former Make-Believe visitor, Barbara Boomerang. After a target is set up, Lady Elaine becomes upset when she does not win a Frisbee throwing game. Moving the target to the castle, King Friday is successful after some practice with Barbara Frisbee.

Mister Rogers arrives with a frisbee from the previous day as well as a film about people throwing frisbees. At Brockett's Bakery, Mister Rogers visits with Jose Cisneros who is making fresh fruit snacks in the kitchen. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Daniel Tiger and Lady Aberlin share a fruit snack before Lady Aberlin demonstrates a few tap-dance steps.

Mister Rogers arrives having driven his antique car. Taking viewers outside, he shows them the seatbelts before lending the car to Mr. McFeely to make deliveries. At Negri's Music Shop, Mister Rogers meets musician Hector Olivera who is playing the organ. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII gives a photograph of himself to the Platypus family to take on their trip so they can remember "what they are missing while they are away." He asks Handyman Negri to measure the giant Frisbee brought to Make-Believe by Barbara B. Frisbee. Meanwhile, Lady Elaine Fairchilde is warning the Neighborhood about a giant who is coming to throw the Frisbee and is offering seatbelts as protection. Barbara B. Frisbee suggests that everyone will learn the purpose of the giant Frisbee tomorrow. Back at the house, Mister Rogers talks about how things often seem very big to children. In the kitchen, he uses various cut-outs to talk about "big and small."

Mister Rogers arrives with some inkblot cards which he takes to the kitchen. Showing several examples, he talks about what the images look like. Using some food coloring and a blank piece of paper, Mister Rogers demonstrates how the inkblot images are made. He points out a spot of ink on his shirt and talks about people sometimes get angry about spots that need cleaned. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Barbara B. Frisbee and Handyman Negri are polling everyone in the Neighborhood to see what they think the giant frisbee is for. Some have wild guesses while others are still concerned with the possibility of a giant coming. After Barbara nearly lets the truth slip, X the Owl is able to guess that the giant frisbee is not a frisbee at all -- it is to be used as a tap dancing stage. Once the dancing begins, everyone is able to put their fears of a giant to rest.

Feb 21, 1975

Mister Rogers cleans out his coat closet and finds a variety of items including stocking caps, dress pants for his sons, and a paper hat. In the kitchen, he uses newspaper to show how to make a paper hat. At Betty's Little Theater, Mister Rogers observes as Lester Evans teaches a tap dancing class. Johnny Costa provides the music for the class. Audrey Roth and Mary Lou Autenreith perform a routine they have been practicing before Mister Rogers tries a few basic steps himself. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin dances her way to the tree where Henrietta Pussycat is cleaning her house. Henrietta plans to give her clothes she has outgrown to Ana Platypus for dress-up play. X the Owl refuses to try on one of Henrietta's hats for fun because he expects that he will then become a girl. Lady Aberlin expains to him that wearing someone else's clothes does not turn them into that person.

Upon his arrival, Mister Rogers promptly visits Francois Clemmons' studio where Mr. Clemmons and Johnny Costa are rehearsing songs for a concert including -- Many Ways to Say I Love You, The Truth Will Make Me Free, and Everybody's Fancy. Returning to his house, Mister Rogers reads a book called Lost Little Boy. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Queen Sara Saturday cannot find Prince Tuesday and asks King Friday and Lady Aberlin for help. After searching the Neighborhood with no luck Lady Aberlin asks Lady Elaine Fairchilde to broadcast the news of the missing prince on MGR-TV. It is discovered that Prince Tuesday was watching television with Edgar Cooke.

Mister Rogers arrives with some large building blocks which he uses to build a tower, a street, and a car. He thinks about some young friends who used blocks and crates to make a pretend fire engine. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Mr. McFeely delivers some building blocks to the Platypus mound and Daniel is concerned that the blocks might be used to build "something bad." When Lady Aberlin builds with the blocks, they start to dance around on their own. She and X the Owl (who is pretending to be a fireman) are amazed until they realize that Lady Elaine Fairchilde has attached strings to the blocks.

Mister Rogers arrives with some magnets which he takes to the kitchen to show how they attract each other: "Magnets are hard to explain, but they're really fun to play with. Looking at one of the magnets which is shaped like a horseshoe, he mentions that Bob Trow is making a horseshoe game at the shop. At Bob Trow's workshop, Mister Rogers and Mr. Trow practice horseshoes on the new post Mr. Trow has made. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday and Prince Tuesday sees Ino A. Horse through a telescope.

Mister Rogers arrives with a chromaharp (autoharp) and shows how it is played as he sings Old MacDonald. He shows a picture of a standing harp in a book. At Brockett's Bakery, Mister Rogers compares the size of his chromaharp with a large harp in the bakery's soda shop. Chef Brockett arrives with Edward Druzinsky who plays the harp. Returning to his house, Mister Rogers finds a note from the Gordons who had stopped by to see him and gone to his home to look for him. Calling his wife, he asks her to send the Gordons back to the television house. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri and Daniel Striped Tiger are trying out various musical instruments as they wait for the Platypus family to return from Westwood.

Mister Rogers arrives with a burlap bag with a book called Speedy Delivery inside. Taking a seat on the couch, he shares the book with viewers. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin is broadcasting remotely for MGR-TV at the Platypus mound as she interviews Elsie Jean Platypus about her recent trip to Westwood.

Mister Rogers shows how shoelaces keep shoes together and how a zipper keeps his sweater together. Mister Rogers then spends some time thinking about being in a button factory. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday is playing his bass violin as Handyman Negri helps him pack for a trip to Westwood. Queen Sara suggests that they might want to bring Bob Dog along with them on their trip and asks Handyman Negri to find him.

Promptly after Mister Rogers' arrival, Mr. McFeely stops by with a live skunk. Mr. McFeely also has a film about skunks which he and Mister Rogers watch on Picture-Picture. As Mr. McFeely leaves with the skunk, Mister Rogers talks about the stong smell that skunks can make. At Elsie Neal's craft shop, Maggie Stewart is making flowers out of foam rubber. Mister Rogers helps her cut the foam to create new flowers. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the Frogg family and Mr. Skunk are waiting on the royal family and Bob Dog to arrive in Westwood. Mayor Maggie also waits with a key to the city.

Mister Rogers arrives with a basket full of various elephant sculptures and models which he takes to the kitchen to share. After showing how some of the elephants are fancy and some are plain, he sings Everybody's Fancy. Invited to the McFeely house, Mister Rogers meets Miss Jean -- host of Hodgepodge Lodge. Miss Jean, a friend of Mrs. McFeely, has been creating terrariums and helps Mister Rogers make one of his own. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the royal family is visiting Westwood where Prince Tuesday is playing hide and seek with Tadpole Frogg, Mr. Skunk, and H.J. Elephant III.

Mister Rogers arrives with two pieces of construction paper which he takes to the kitchen and uses to make a peek-a-boo game. As he plays, he sings Look and Listen before sharing an animation about a moving dot. At Brockett's Bakery, Mister Rogers watches as Chef Brockett and Maggie Stewart make noodle pudding. They pantomime each ingredient before adding it to the recipe. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Edgar Cooke is playing peek-a-boo as he awaits the return of the royal family. His play, however, is bothersome to Miss Paulificate who is trying to work.

Mister Rogers finger paints on a piece of dark shelf paper and shares an animation about animals playing hide and seek. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Francois Clemmons and Lady Aberlin step away from the castle garden to tell everyone of the royal family's return from Westwood.

Mister Rogers arrives with a bucket made by his friend, Jim Johnson. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Queen Sara Saturday is sharing pictures of her friends from Westwood when Dr. Bill Platypus tells her that the Frogg family and H.J. Elephant will be visiting the Neighborhood of Make-Believe.

Visiting Elsie Neal's craft shop, Mister Rogers meets Dottie Erdmann who is making scuptures out of wire and clay. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin is talking to Dr. Bill as they wonder where Prince Tuesday might be.

Mister Rogers arrives wearing sunglasses and talks about how it can be concerning to a child when an adult changes their appearance. Francois Clemmons invites Mister Rogers along to the Brown's Marionette Theatre where they are preparing for a performance of Little Red Riding Hood. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Lady Aberlin wants to pretend that she is Little Red Riding Hood and asks Queen Sara to be her mother.

Mister Rogers arrives with a large box and does not change into his usual sweater. Instead, he changes into his sneakers and takes a red jacket from the box. Mister Rogers and Mr. McFeely have been asked to take tickets and hand out programs at the Brown's marionette play of Little Red Riding Hood. The marionette play gets underway as the audience enjoys a fun performance of Little Red Riding Hood.

Mister Rogers arrives with a sea captain's desk. In the kitchen, he opens the desk and shows its many compartments. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday XIII finishes dictating a letter to Miss Paulificate before Lady Aberlin arrives at the castle and talks to him about the responsibilities of being a king.

At Negri's Music Shop, Mister Rogers returns the organ and goes to the rehearsal room where Joe Negri shows a large organ. William McCurdy arrives and demonstrates the organ. Mister Rogers arrives with a book of poetry by Al Worden -- Hello Earth: Greetings From Endeavour -- and shares a few of his works. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri is trying to find the reason behind the lack of electricity at Corney's factory and soon finds that the entire Neighborhood is having electrical issues.

Mar 27, 1975

Mister Rogers arrives with a game which he takes to the kitchen. The game requires players to place wooden blocks into the proper holes in a box. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the Trolley stops running in front of the castle due to the power shortage as the lights through out Make-Believe begin to fade.

Mar 28, 1975

Mister Rogers arrives with a St. Bernard named Rondo. Mr. McFeely had been walking the dog and Mister Rogers asked to borrow him to show to his television friends. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the power has been restored and MGR-TV is back on the air.

Feb 16, 1976

Mister Rogers arrives with a new plant which he adds to his aquarium before taking viewers out back to his garage/workshop. In the garage, Mister Rogers shows a variety of items such as his tool collection, a boat, plants, and even a few puppets from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. With a television and videotape equipment set up, Mister Rogers reveals a massive collection of recorded Neighborhood visits.

Feb 17, 1976

Mister Rogers is taking things to his garage including a large carrying case used to store the Neighborhood of Make-Believe modles. As he is putting the models in the case, he notices that the base of the tree model has been slightly damaged. Luckily Betty Aberlin is in the garage doing some painting and is able to help repair the tree.

Feb 18, 1976

Mister Rogers arrives with a large black cape which he has borrowed from Margaret Hamilton. Taking the cape to the garage, he talks about acting and pretends to be Mr. McFeely. While he waits on a visit from Joe Negri, Mister Rogers shows the video camera he has set up before he sings Pretending.
