Nazi Hunters examines how Israeli secret service agents traveled to South America to assassinate Nazi war criminal Herbert Cukurs. Known as the Hangman of Riga, Cukurs was responsible for the deaths of over 30,000 Latvian Jews. A Mossad agent working under the name 'Anton Kunzle' had him shot in a remote suburb of Montevideo, Uruguay.

Priebke who was responsible for some of Italy's worst atrocities fled to Argentina after the war. He led a life of relative obscurity until he was confronted by journalists from ABC News in the 1990s.

After the war, Mengele flees to Argentina where he lives a relatively nondescript life. After the arrest of Adolph Eichmann he flees to Paraguay and, then, Brazil eluding captivity until his death in 1979.
