1 day, 14-year-old Yusuke Urameshi finds himself dead, having died pushing a child out from this way of oncoming traffic. Ever since he has such a lousy personality, even the Spirit World was caught by surprise that he would sacrifice himself. Yusuke soon realizes he wasn't likely to die and has a possibility of resurrection and bringing his body back . Yusuke becomes a Spirit Detective, along with his comrades, plus yet another adventure after another happens, if it be an evaluation or a fighting tournament after being hammered.
