As the dreams of Didier Mathure, a fantastic room engineer, literally fail when his rocket takes off on liftoff, he is moved to head GEPAN, a device specializing in UFOs. He is entrusted with generating scientific descriptions for the UFO discoveries that are presently dominating the headings. This is a problem task for a die-hard rationalist like him, and he is established to discover an escape as quickly as he can.
