The Inspector Alleyn Mysteries is a detective television Show adapted from Eight of Those Roderick Alleyn novels by Ngaio Marsh. It aired between 1994 and 1990. In the pilot episode Simon Williams performed Detective Inspector Alleyn. William Simons played Alleyn's right hand man and"Watson" figure, Detective Sergeant Fox, also Belinda Lang appeared as the gentleman Agatha Troy, Alleyn's love interest. Williams was inaccessible when the first show was made, therefore whilst Simons and Lang reprised their original characters, the character has been played with Patrick Malahide. The BBC made nine episodes each predicated on another publication. The eight episodes featuring Malahide are available on DVD in UK and the USA. An set includes all nine episodes.
