Louise is a magician-in-training. Due of her lack of magical success, Tristein Academy students call her "Zero Louise." Her wizardry often backfires. Now, as a magic test, she must summon a familiar. She gathers all her magic and wishes for a "devoted, gorgeous, and powerful" familiar, and obtains Hiraga Saito, an average Japanese kid. Who's more astonished and dismayed? The rules don't offer second chances. Louise and her familiar are stuck together.
