By the comedy of Jerrod Carmichael and Nick Stoller ("Neighbors") comes an irreverent sitcom motivated by Jerrod's relationships with his say-anything, contrarian father, his therapist-in-training girl friend, his ever-hustling brother and his mum who is always, always, always right with Jesus. Taking the next thing and moving in together, Jerrod and also his girl friend, Maxine (Amber West), would be the regular young couple trying to help it in the town. They're motivated, bright and trying to build a lifetime together. The only thing standing in their own manner is family. Between Jerrod's epic brother, Bobby (Lil Rel Howery), and his smothering and ardent parents (David Alan Grier, Loretta Devine), Jerrod and Maxine are placed to the test broadcasting the bounds of love, sanity and family.
