Overview
Lu Nan Yi and Lin Qing Qiu were innocent playmates in their youth. Their difference in social status did not stop them from secretly falling in love. Just as they were about to run away together, the happiness that they yearned for becomes a thing of the past. They part ways because of a farewell letter and when they meet again, their heart is still thumping… Lu Nan Yi, the daughter of a merchant, and Lin Qing Qiu, the son of a noble family, were childhood lovers who promised the rest of their lives to each other. On a stormy night, when they had prepared to fly far and high together, they were separated. Three years later, Lin Qing Qiu became the prefect of Jinzhou, while Lu Nan Yi became a popular novelist. As he takes office, Lin Qing Qiu, who is new to the position, intends to apply strict measures. However, Lu Nan Yi becomes involved in a murder case because of her writing. Seeing each other again after all these years, the two exes start to "take revenge" for the hurt that they experienced in the past.
