Overview
Legends of the Hidden Temple can be a Action Adventure game series for kids. The series centres around a temple that is"filled up with lost treasures protected by cryptic Mayan temple guards". Kirk Fogg hosts and serves as the teams' guide, while Dee Bradley Baker declares and voices a talking Olmec Head that"knows the secrets behind each of the treasures within his Temple". Six teams of 2 kids compete to regain one of the historical artifacts in the Temple by answering questions based on geography, mythology, and history and performing physical stunts. After three elimination rounds, the just 1 team remains, that earns the best to go through the Temple also win a prize and to regain the artifact. Legends of the Hidden Temple has been created by Stone Stanley Productions in association with Nickelodeon and has been recorded at Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. It aired on Nickelodeon from September 1 1, 1993 to 1995 in its own first-run and during February 28, 1999 in reruns. Reruns of the program aired on Nick GAS from 1999--occasionally on TeenNick, and 2007. Legends of the Hidden Temple won a CableACE award for Best Gameshow Special or String in 1995.
