Jackass is a American reality series, originally shown from 2000 to 2002 on MTV, including people performing crude pranks and self injuring stunts. The series served as a launchpad for its television and acting careers of Bam Margera, steve o, and also Johnny Knoxville, that had just a few acting roles. Since 2002, three Jackass films published and have been produced by MTV corporate sibling Paramount Pictures, ongoing the franchise. The series sparked many spin-offs including Viva La Bam, Wildboyz, Home-wrecker, Dr. Steve-O and Blastazoid. The series placed #6-8 on Entertainment Weekly's"New TV Classics" list.
