Set against 40 years of songs background, this six-part docudrama series takes a deep study the paradox of America's criminalization of the category and also its attraction with the street culture that created it and still exists within it. As opposed to telling the tale of hip jump from the top down, this docudrama tells the tale from the streets up, as it discloses the unknown story of just how America's streets helped shape hip jump society from an expression of survival as well as defiance into music's most leading style.
