Overview

It's the American story of a mythical family feud--the one which spanned decades and nearly launched a war between both Kentucky and West Virginia. The Hatfield McCoy saga begins with Randall McCoy and Devil Anse Hatfield. . Close friends and comrades until near the close of the Civil War, they all go back to their nearby houses --Hatfield in West Virginia, McCoy just across the Tug River edge in Kentucky--into increasing tensions, anxieties and resentments that shortly burst into allout war between their own families. As hostilities grow, neighbors, friends and outside compels unite the fight, bringing the two nations to the verge of another civil war.
