Damages is an American legal thriller television show generated by the manufacturing and writing trio of Daniel Zelman and brothers Glenn and Todd A. Kessler. The storyline revolves around her recent law school graduate Ellen Parsons and the brilliant, callous lawyer Patty Hewes. Each season comes with a major case that Hewes and her business take on, while also examining a chapter of this complicated relationship between Ellen and Patty. The first two seasons centre around Associates & the lawfirm Hewes. Later seasons begins an independent livelihood and centre on the relationship of Ellen and Patty as Ellen begins to distance herself from Hewes & Associates.
