Cape Town. Police captain Mat Joubert used to be the very best, resolved every crime, captured every killer. Before his wife Lara was killed while working undercover, but this has been a year past. Mat's been on a downward spiral haunted with way of a ago, uncertain which role he played at his wife's murder. Mat can be an out of silhouette chain-smoker who's ambivalent about the world . Mat begins to over come the ghosts of his past. But in order to block the violence of his current cases he needs to relive the nightmare of the murder of his wife.
