Overview

Barbara is actually a British sitcom starring Gwen Taylor in the title character. A pilot had been aired in 1995, along with also three series have been televised from 1999 to 2003. It filmed infront of a live studio audience in Nottingham in their Lenton Lane studios, and was created with Central Television. The majority of location scenes for the series were filmed in suburbs of Nottingham, along with different scenes filmed across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, including Mapperley along with also West Bridgford. Despite winning awards along with commendable figures, it was axed by ITV in 2003.
