New images released Monday through the Nintendo Today app showcase young actors Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Princess Zelda and Link. The photos feature the duo in a vibrant green field, with Zelda carrying her trademark bow and arrow and both performers fully outfitted in Hylian-inspired costumes, complete with pointed ears.

The film is directed by Wes Ball — known for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes and The Maze Runner — and is slated for a theatrical release on May 7, 2027.

Producer Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed the casting earlier this year, announcing on social media that Bragason would portray Zelda while Ainsworth would take on the role of Link. “I’m very excited to see them both on the big screen,” he wrote at the time.

Bragason, a British actor, has appeared in BBC One’s Three Girls, The Jetty, and Disney+’s Renegade Nell. She also starred in last year’s vampire comedy The Radleys. Ainsworth, also from the U.K., voiced the title character in Robert Zemeckis’ live-action Pinocchio, played Miles in Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor, and appears in the Canadian comedy Son of a Critch, as well as an episode of The Sandman.
