Overview
The frequently very young activists behind the gas masks of Hong Kong's democracy movement are just as diverse as the youths of the rest of the world. They do, however, share a desire for democracy and individual liberty. They have the determination and fortitude to fight, and they can see that things are going wrong in the small island city, which has been granted autonomy by China but is now tightening its hold and demanding that "troublemakers" be detained or silenced. We meet a 21-year-old student, a teenage couple, and a new father amid the violent protests.
