Back in 1920s Ireland doctor Damien O'Donovan prepares to depart for a job in a London hospital. British Black and Tans arrive Since he says his good byes at a friend's farm, and also there is also a young man murdered. Events are set in motion that tear the brothers apart, although his brother Teddy is joined by damien from the Irish Republican Army.
