Overview

Ashley Shields has had a rough year. Her mother died, her marriage fell apart, and she was passed over for a promotion at work. So when her sister Jasmine brings her to a women's group called The Sisterhood, she is interested and hopes to feel strong enough to change her life. Ashley gets everything she expects from The Sisterhood, which is led by the mysterious and charming Desiree. She gets a raise at work, her divorce is settled in her favor, and she finally feels fulfilled and happy. But she soon finds out that The Sisterhood's benefits come at a high and sometimes illegal cost. As Ashley learns more about The Sisterhood and is forced to take part in its questionable activities, she realizes that she is in over her head and needs to get out, even if it means losing her relationship with Jasmine or her life.
