Overview
After the death of her husband, Francesca, an exceptionally attractive woman, finds his infidelity and the enormous debts he left behind. French lawyer Cesare is a close friend of Francesca's. Francesca decides to sell everything she owns, including her home, jewelry, furs, and even her yacht, after hearing his counsel. She is able to get by for the remainder of the year, but she has little hope for the future and all of her job applications have failed. Finally, she decides to set up a lottery in which she is the winner.
