Overview
The CinemaScope film was founded on a book of the exact same name compiled by Frank O'Rourke. Jim Douglas (Gregory Peck) is a rancher that has been chasing the 4 outlaws who killed his wife for 6 months. He slides to the town of Rio Arriba, at which four men, Alfonso Parral (Lee Van Cleef), Bill Zachary (Stephen Boyd), Ed Taylor (Albert Salmi) and also Lujan (Henry Silva), matching the description have been in jail awaiting implementation, so that he is able to see the hanging. Town has issued directions to just allow the hangman (Joe DeRita) to input, so Jim has been accepted to Sheriff Eloy Sanchez's (Herbert Rudley) office to state his organization. Town never had an implementation and they've brought into a man from town to do the work. Jim is allowed by the intruder into the jail. He gets the face of a hunter, although they assert that they had never seen him earlier.
