Overview
The movie brings Clarice Lispector's novel Uma Aprendizagem ou O Livro dos Prazeres into the present day. In the plot, Lóri is a lonely and sad woman. She splits her time between her job as a teacher and her relationships, which are always short-term and superficial. Ulisses is a well-known Philosophy professor who is self-centered and makes her feel uncomfortable. Even though he doesn't know anything about women, Lóri learns how to love and deal with her own loneliness from him.
