Something did fail, although no more meteorites hit Earth, no terrorists put the world no nuclear warfare has been launched. Contact between many towns on Earth was severed. A small ring like area in Eastern Europe still has power, and maybe life is being reported from the area. What military forces find beyond the Ring seems shocking. There are dead corpses anywhere: at stores, on roads, in cars, in railroad stations and hospitals. Who or what exactly is destroying all life on Earth? How long would the last outpost of humankind live?
