Wealthy sea captain Jim McKay arrives at the Pat Terrill's huge expanse. McKay is a man whose worth and way of life are a mystery into this ranchers and ranch foreman . Pat is spoiled, selfish and controlled Major Henry Terrill, by her father. The Major is included with a rough-hewn clan headed by Rufus Hannassey, over-watering rights at a war that was ruthless. Julie Maragon owns the land in question and Terrill and Hannassey want it.
