Overview
Inspired the seminal 19th Century vampire narrative, by Carmilla by Sheridan LeFanu, STYRIA frees the viewer into a universe of dream and obsession. Back in 1989, Lara Hill (Eleanor Tomlinson), conveys her artwork historian father (Stephen Rea) to an abandoned castle round the Iron Curtain. Beyond this castle from an auto accident, appears the Carmilla. Lara secrets Carmilla into the castle and also the two have been drawn into an intoxicating relationship. But when Carmilla mysteriously disappears, and women of this town begin committing suicide, the psychic wounds of Lara turned right into a living nightmare which consumes the town of Styria.
