Overview

The entire year is 1991, and Spud Milton's long walk into penis remains creeping together at an unnervingly pace that is slow. Approaching the ripe old age of fifteen and no symptoms of this anticipated ball-drop, Spud is visiting terms with the truth that he might be described as a freak of nature. With a mommy hell bent on emigrating, a dad building a killing out of selling homemade moonshine, and also a demented grandmother called Wombat, the year appears to provide little except embarrassment and mortifying Milton insanity. At which he could be no longer the youngest or smallest, but Spud is coming to a boarding school. His dormitory mates, known as the Crazy Eight, have an odd new member and his house includes a brand new clutch of first years (the Normal Seven). In case Spud thinks his year will be a breeze, however, he is severely confused.
