Overview
Save the Cinema tells the true story of Liz Evans, a hairdresser and leader of a youth theater in Carmarthen, Wales, who started a campaign in 1993 to keep the Lyric theater from closing. Along with Richard Goodridge, who was Mayor of Carmarthen at the time (in the movie, this role is played by a local councilman), they asked Steven Spielberg for help and were able to get a special showing of Jurassic Park.
