Overview
The painter Frenhofer that is former resides with his wife in his countryside residence from the Provence. When the young artist Nicolas and his girl friend Marianne visit him, Frenhofer makes the decision to start again the work with the painting he stopped: La Belle Noiseuse. And also he wants Marianne as model. The creative process changes life for everybody else. It's difficult for life, truth and sense, and the question if art is limitless or where the constraints of artwork are.
