His team includes his very best friend Rex, the Dook, a visceral and crazy young man, a young gent out of Cambridge, both the depressed and ageing owner of the ship, and Charlie. Company and flynn encounter maneating sharks , underground boxing clubs, police raids, pub brawls, cannibals and virgins , while being forced to smuggle opium to live.
