Overview
In August of1961, speleologists from Italy's rapidly developing north make their way to a plateau in Calabria where time seems to have stopped. The intruders find one of the deepest caves in the world, known as the Bifurto Abyss, while they are under the watchful eye of an elderly shepherd who is the only witness to the untouched terrain.
