Overview
Battling in the Civil War a man accidently kills his pal. Going back to Abilene after the battle he finds his former sweetheart ready to wed the bro of the man he killed. To pay his debt he not just refuses to win her back yet takes the job of Sheriff, a work he does not want, when the sibling asks him. Still haunted by the killing he declines to lug a gun. Yet there is difficulty between the breeders and the farmers and also when he finds the brother killed he bands on a weapon and heads after the awesome.
