4 close friends take a cottage trip in the dead of winter season, seeking sanctuary from their busy metropolitan lives, if only for one weekend. Nevertheless, the few homeowners who continue to be in the remote cottage community of Rideau Ferry do not appear to permit unfamiliar people ... From the moment they reach their location, the visitors, a group of twenty-something artist kinds, are confronted by the ominous look of neighbouring cottagers, every one of whom have no choice but to tough out the cold winter season in this little, rural community. Over the course of their remain, the good friends start to uncover dark information about the occupants of the houses around them. After among the close friends is found mutilated on the front porch of a neighboring home, the buddies promptly discover that absolutely nothing is what it appears.
