Overview
Lt. Franta Slama is actually really a high pilot at the Czech Air Force who is assigned to train some promising young flier, Karel Vojtisek, and so they soon become friends. After Nazi Germany invades Czechoslovakia in 1939 where they combine Czech exiles in the 30, they reject the authority of their new leaders and escape to England. While flying a mission within England, lands crash and happens up on the farm house of Susan. Karel soon falls head over heels Susan but, while they enjoy a brief fling, at time Susan decides she prefers the company of their older and more worldly Franta. As Franta and Karel fight to maintain their friendship despite their own romantic rivalry.
