Overview

Five builders are brought together to rebuild a huge ancient home high in the Welsh mountains, which is inaccessible by road. Tensions quickly rise between the guys and their self-righteous aristocratic landlord, as well as between the disparate group of men themselves, as they are forced to live in squalid portacabins. Dave, a world-weary old timer, and Foreman Bob, a gentle soul, struggle to keep the peace. His nephew Steve, on the other hand, comes under the malicious influence of bigot Jim, with the pair taking a dislike to Viktor, a Ukrainian laborer, as their target. Because of the weather and payment delays, people's emotions get frayed. There has been bloodshed. The blue-collar males are presented with a downward spiral of moral choices that becomes increasingly difficult to navigate. Jim makes an unexpected suggestion during this time.
