Overview
The story is based on Hammond Innes's book with the same name. Bruce Campbell's (Dirk Bogarde) grandfather dies, and he gets "Campbell's Kingdom," a ranch in the Canadian Rockies. He has been told that he has a disease that will kill him, but it's not clear what it is. He decides to try to find the oil that his grandfather thought was on his land to clear his family's name, since his grandfather was wrongly found guilty of fraud when his oil exploration company failed. Owen Morgan is the boss of a company that is building a dam that will flood the "Kingdom" when it is finished. To show that the oil is there before the dam is finished is a race against time.
