Overview
Jack Thornton has trouble enough at cards for the wager he wants to make the journey to the Alaska gold fields. His luck changes when he pays $250 a sleddog that is part wolf to prevent him from being shot through an Englishman headed to the Yukon, for Buck. Enroute to the Yukon with Shorty Houlihan -- who spent time for opening some one else's letter having a map of where gold is to be found -- a woman whose husband was the addressee of that correspondence is rescued by Jack. Buck helps Jack acquire a $1,000 bet to get. One night and when Claire and Jack Blake furry friend Buck, palms signature.
