Overview
Michel Simon gives perhaps one of their most memorable performances in screen history since Boudu, a tramp who chooses a suicidal plunge into the Seine and can be rescued with a welltodo bookseller, Edouard Lestingois. The Lestingois family decides to take in the bum, and he also shows his appreciation by shaking the household to its foundations. Legendary director Jean Renoir takes advantage of also the charms of the lead actor along with a plethora of Parisian locations to create an effervescent satire of this bourgeoisie with Boudu Saved from Drowning.
